It’s time for our summer wrap-up. The Nature Camp had a great 8 weeks of fun for campers. The weather was very cooperative for all activities they had planned.

July brought us our wonderful July 4th Parade. The Gates Mills Improvement Society does a fantastic job putting together and funding our special traditions. Your membership is vital in order to keep the Parade, Christmas Eve, and other supported events alive.

On July 12, a “Welcome Wednesday” evening for new residents was a nice, new event. The event was organized by The Community Club and appetizers were provided by Sara’s Place. Thank you to both groups. The opportunity for new residents to meet Village Officials and various group leaders along with other new residents was a wonderful idea. We will be holding it again next year. Our Community Club is encouraging more residents to be involved in our Village.

We enjoyed a beautiful evening of music, dancing, food, ice cream and bubbles at our Summer Band Concert held on July 23. It was a lovely event. As you may already know, schools are all back in session. Please watch for school busses and children as you drive throughout the Village.
Please MARK YOUR CALENDAR for SEPTEMBER 14th at 7:00 p.m. We are holding a public meeting at the Community House regarding a “Your 911” program. This will affect everyone calling for emergency help. In this ever-changing world of technology, it is important to understand how services are called from landlines and cell phones.
