Event Listing - Book Discussion *Almost Famous Women: Stories*

Join us for a discussion *Almost Famous Women:  Stories* by Megan Mayhew Bergman.  This collection of short stories from the author of Birds of a Lesser Paradise depicts the forgotten lives of women who almost achieved fame and notoriety, including Lord Byron's illegitimate daughter, Oscar Wilde's niece and Edna St. Vincent Milay's sister.

Event Listing - Artist Reception~~Peter Balunek

The Friends of the Gates Mills Branch Library feature an artist in the branch every two months.  Peter Balunek's African Safari photographs will be featured in January-February and the show will run for apporximately six weeks during library hours.

Come and meet the artist and discuss his work at a free artist reception with light refreshments.

Event Listing - Pottery Painting

Children in grades K-5 are welcomed to join us to create a pottery item that will be functional and food safe.  Hands on Pottery will guide you through the process.  First choose the piece you would like to paint, plan your design and paint your piece.  Wear clothes that can get dirty!  Your pottery will be fired and ready for pick up at the ibrary in a week.
