The History of the Serum Run in Alaska
Lee Gambol will discuss the historic Serum Run made by heroic mushers and sled dogs over hundreds of miles in blizzard conditions. Learn how Cleveland is connected to Balto, the famous husky that helped save the small city of Nome, Alaska from a diphtheria outbreak in 1925.
