We had a very good turn out for the National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 26, 2013, taking in 17.5 lbs of old/unwanted medications. The 7th National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is scheduled for October 26th. Since 2010, this nationwide initiative has collected 2.8 million pounds (1,409 tons) of unneeded medications, helping to prevent the diversion, misuse and abuse of these drugs. This event provides a means of disposing of prescription drugs in a safe, convenient and responsible manner. Once again, Gates Mills Police will be participating in the event.
