The Village’s Halloween Party was held on October 20th and was filled with lots of children in wonderful costumes, treats for all, hayrides, and Outback Ray with his exotic animals! Special thanks to Joycelyn Brogley and Doug Webb for organizing the party and to all of the volunteers who helped. A big thank you is given to our Service Department, Community Building staff and Town Hall Coordinators for all of the work preparing and setting up the party.
Gates Mills Police Department
Proud to Serve…Sworn to Protect
From Your Police Department:
The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to fight the ongoing battle against the heroin and opiate epidemic. As part of its prevention effort, the CCSD has provided over 42 municipalities across Cuyahoga County with Drug Drop Boxes.
Drug Drop Boxes provide a safe, environmentally friendly way for citizens to dispose of their unwanted or unused prescription drugs. Unused prescription drugs are typically the gateway to heroin abuse, as over 70% of Americans misusing painkillers obtain them from friends or relatives.
Gates Mills has placed two internet MEETUP SPOT signs on Village Property. One is located in the Vestibule of Town Hall and the other is in the Service Department Parking Lot near the tennis courts. These locations are designated as safe sales transaction locations for all legal online sales. These locations are observed by cameras that are recorded digitally. Residents are welcome to use these locations to make the transfer of items sold online.
Detective Day will be collecting potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
Please note that no creams or liquids can be accepted.
