Spring in Gates Mills is a beautiful time of year. Yet to say our world, our country, and our village is in uncharted territory is indeed an understatement. While the coronavirus has changed all of our lives, with the support of our government, dedicated local officials and remarkably caring and compassionate fellow Gates Mills residents, together we’re going to get through this.
I find it so satisfying to see the level of cooperation demonstrated by scientists worldwide, by politicians actually working together, and by companies stepping up to do all that they can.
Now more than ever we need you to reach out to your neighbors to help in any situation necessary. If you need anything, simply call Dorothy or Jean, 9-5, Monday-Friday at 440- 423-4405, and we will point you in the right direction. Or call me at 440-476-4930 at all other times.
I have added a link to our Ohio Health Department below. It contains good information on how to deal with anxiety and tips for families.
Additionally, the Village is reaching out to some of our very senior citizens in an effort to offer help. While Town Hall has already identified many in this group, if you can suggest residents who could use some help with shopping or staying safe at home, please let me know. Our list is organized by street to further “neighbors helping neighbors”.
One last suggestion. We encourage you to support our wonderful local restaurant, Sara’s, which is offering a great carry out menu. Again, we want to remind you...STAY PUT, STAY CALM…and we will all be fine.
