The Village is looking great! Thank you to the Village’s Service Department for the beautiful landscaping in the Village’s center and throughout the Village. We know summer is in full swing with the 4th of July parade and the summer concert both taking place in July!

The Gates Mills Improvement Society’s annual Independence Day parade is always the highlight of summer and will take place on Tuesday, July 4th at 11:00 a.m. The Community Club will have hot dogs, chips and drinks available for purchase as you enjoy meeting some of your neighbors! The Summer Concert will be held on Sunday, July 23 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on the Village Green. This is always a great family event as you can enjoy Marston Park, dance, and sing-a-long to some favorite songs. Tables & chairs will be set up for you to use, so pack a picnic dinner and come enjoy some Americana/Folk/Pop music performed by Michael Aarons.

Another fun family event is an outdoor movie night showing Dr. Seuss’, THE LORAX, on Friday, July 28 beginning around 9 p.m. on the Village Green. Admission will be free, and concessions will be sold by the Gates Mills Elementary School’s PTC.

Addie’s Cup, the new coffee shop in the Village’s center, is now open Monday-Saturday, 6 a.m. –3 p.m. It will be open on July 4th from 8-11 a.m.! Please join in the Grand Opening celebration the week of July 24th. There will be giveaways and specials all week long. Be sure to check their Facebook page or website, www.addiescup.com for details.

The Village had our street sign sale with the Historical Society on June 9th at the Community House. Everyone had a good time, and many signs were sold. If you are interested, there are still some signs available for purchase. Please contact Jean at jmisch@gatesmillsvillage.com or 440-423-4405 to arrange a time to view them.

We completed the bathroom and ADA door updates in the lower level of the Community House. The next updates will be to the public restrooms near the tennis/pickleball courts. Both projects have been funded with grants awarded to the Village.
