Dear Villagers,

We have had a very busy summer in our Village. Our July 4th Parade was terrific. The Gates
Mills Improvement Society does a fantastic job organizing and funding our special traditions.
Our many clubs, Village employees, residents and spectators all had a wonderful time. Many
thanks to everyone who participated!

The Nature Camp had a great 7-week run. They added a new toddler camp this year as well. It
was well-received. I’ve had many positive compliments about the camp and its staff.

This year our Annual Summer Band Concert was held on Sunday, July 21st. It was very well
attended. Young and old had a great time listening and dancing to Red Light Roxy. All of the
tables were full, and the children loved the balloon art of Flower Clown! I want to thank Mary
Reynolds for organizing this annual event which is held the third Sunday of July. Hope to see
you there next year!

We have formed a Committee, headed by Chip AuWerter, to work on selecting a firm to work
with for developing a Master Plan for the Village. The process is interesting, and it will help us
to plan for the Village’s future.

Marston Park has seen great activity in tennis, pickleball and bocce. There is also a regular
Friday toddler group that meets from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. For more details on the group’s

Please keep yard and house maintenance going. Proper home maintenance preserves your
home’s value, as well as, the real estate values of all the properties in our village. Fence repairs,
replacing house numbers, painting, removing junk, and not using blue tarps for long terms are
items that keep our Village beautiful. Please be proud of our Village, as it benefits everyone.

Schools are back in session. Please be on the lookout for our children, and stop for school buses.
