Gates Mills

From the Mayor -November 2025
Monday, Dec. 1st

Hello Villagers,

Our Village Halloween Party on October 24th was a joyful celebration filled with laughter, games, treats, and plenty of creative costumes. Jungle Terry and his exotic animals were a big hit with the children! I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the staff and volunteers who made the event such a success. Special appreciation goes to our Service Department, Fire Department, and Community Building staff for their outstanding work in preparing and setting up the festivities.

As we look ahead, please remember that Election Day is Tuesday, November 4th. Gates Mills has one item on the ballot: Issue 10, a renewal of an operating levy first approved in 1996. This levy provides essential funding—100% of which supports the Village services we all rely on. In addition, six candidates are running for four open seats on Village Council, and Charles Spear is running unopposed for Treasurer. If you haven’t voted early, I encourage you to make your voice heard on Election Day. Don’t forget to stop by the bake sale upstairs and support the Gates Mills Elementary PTC.

To stay informed about Village news and events, I invite you to sign up for Gates Mills Connect at www.gatesmillsvillage.com. This is our official platform for sharing timely updates with residents. If you’d prefer assistance, Jean or Robin at Town Hall will be happy to register you -just give them a call with your name and email address.

This November, the Gates Mills Players will present Things My Mother Taught Me at the Community House. For showtimes and ticket information, visit www.gatesmillsplayers.com.

Finally, as Thanksgiving approaches, I want to express my gratitude for the spirit of community that defines Gates Mills. I’m thankful for your continued support and for the privilege of serving such a beautiful and caring Village.
